Terms, Conditions & Liability Release
1. Assumption of Risk
Leasee acknowledges and agrees that the operation of a golf cart involves inherent risk, including the risk of serious bodily injury or death. Leasee voluntarily assumes all such risks associated with the operation or the use of the golf cart(s) provided by Island Adventure Cart Rentals.
2. Driver Eligibility & Legal Compliance
Leasee acknowledges that rental carts are governed by North Carolina DMV motor vehicle laws and confirms that all operators are properly licensed, legally eligible to drive, at least 21 years of age and approved by Island Adventure Cart Rentals. I understand that I am solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Release and Waiver
Leasee does hereby release, acquit, and forever discharge Island Adventure Cart Rentals and its owners, agents, representatives, assigns, and affiliates from any and all liability,claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, expenses (including attorney’s fees and court costs) of any kind or nature whatsoever arising out of or related to use or operation of the golf cart(s) including but not limited to any bodily injury, death, or property damage.
4. Rental Cart Damage or Loss
Leasee assumes responsibility for any and all damage to or loss of rental cart during the duration of this contract. Furthermore Leasee allows Island Adventure Cart Rentals to charge to leasee’s credit card for any damages incurred and for related repair or replacement costs.
5. Medical Treatment
Leasee releases and forever discharges Island Adventure Cart Rentals from any all claims or liabilities arising from or related to any first aid, treatment, or medical services rendered in connection with the use of the golf cart(s) or the decision by any representative of Island Adventure Cart Rentals to authorize such treatment.
6. Cart Capacity and Safe Operation
Leasee agrees to adhere strictly to the manufacturer’s stated passenger capacity for the rented cart. Leasee assumes responsibility for the safety of all passengers and acknowledges that exceeding capacity or unsafe operation may result in injury or damage for which Leasee is responsible for.
7. Age Requiremnt
Leasee confirms that he/she is at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to enter into this rental agreement, and have presented his/her driver’s license at the time of rental. If any others in Leasee’s party will be operating said rental they must also be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and present their license to the lessor at the time of rental.
8. Island Rules and Responsible Use
I agree to obey all Village of Bald Head Island rules and regulations, included but not limited to speed limits, traffic signage, pedestrian and bicycle right of way, designated parking areas, restricted zones and NO open containers of alcoholic beverages. I accept full responsibility for any citations, fines, damages, and consequences arising from violations.
9. 24 Hour Cancellation Policy
Leasee acknowledges that all cancellations must be made by 24 hours prior to scheduled pick up or arrival time. Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable, regardless of weather or personal circumstances.
10. Rental Period Acknowledgement
I understand that a daily rental is valid only during Island Adventure Cart Rentals’ business hours, from opening until closing on the same calendar day, and does not constitute a 24-hour rental. I further understand that a half day rental is limited to a strict 4-hour period from pickup time. Any return made after this period will be charged a full day rental.
11. Closing Time & Return Policy
I acknowledge that Island Adventure Cart Rentals closes promptly at 4:30 PM. I accept full responsibility for returning the cart prior to closing time. Any return after 4:30 PM will result in late fees.
12. Late Return Fees
Leasee agrees that returning the cart within one (1) half hour after closing will result in a $35 late fee. Returns made beyond one(1) hour after closing will incur an additional full day rental charge, with no exceptions.
13. Agreement to Terms
By completing this booking and taking possession of the rentals cart I confirm that I have read, understand and voluntarily agree to all terms, conditions and liability releases stated above.

Guests with Kids: If you have young children, bring along a child-safety seat appropriate for the cart. If you are unable to provide one, we are happy to (inventory is limited)
Property/Accommodation Coordination: If you’re staying in a vacation home, condo or resort that provides rental carts, please verify the number of carts provided before booking.
Cart Capacity: We strictly adhere to the cart capacity of each cart for your safety and the safety of your passengers.
